bit late for Epiphany, but hey, these things take time

I seem to have created a sort of star effect – Baddeley’s in progress, marked out for serious stone removal all round – 5mm chase round the edge, angled channels to attempt to gain a fairly even surface removal. I will be at it with a 15mm tungsten french chisel next week, goggles on.IMG_5080

meanwhile, on the back of Nathan’s stone, my signature and another glyph rendition. it’s slowly morphing into something I can carve sort of quickly, unlike the signature – 5 hours and a serious amount of Supertramp at top volume. luckily my studio is at the end of the corridor and the other studios are not heavily frequented – well, they’re not now!IMG_5079

the debris on the top of my banker is the fallout from carving and making Spotify playlists at the same time. if you look closely you can see what I’m up to, but twelve to seventy-eight is about to emerge. no Bowie. sorry.IMG_5081
