incinerator full, five bags empty

incinerator full, five bags empty
19th October 2015 Oz Osmaston

it’s all gone – five big black bin backs of personal ephemera…school exercise books, plane tickets, payslips by the dozen, bank statements, massive amounts of bumff from the British Wheel of Yoga, postcards, letters – some from people who were present to see them burn, a cheque for how much who knows, job references, Italian text books, Italian notes, access storage receipts, school magazines, cash point slips, credit card statements, doodles, drawings, scribbles, incomprehensible writings from people I had forgotten I knew – some photos and letters from my mother saved, and a papier mache egg.

fabulous food, good music and beer, my hands black, my hair full of ash, my clothes and everyone else’s stinking, and one incinerator full to the brim with ash
