I’ve always wanted to use that car park in Cavendish Square…but never again. Well, maybe. It is damn close to John Lewis, and such a luxury. £6.50 per hour, 10 mins driving in circles past assigned bays and disabled only, 3 mins reverse parking in nightmare (remember Judd Street?) conditions, 2 mins extricating self from car as parking bay so tight and neighbouring vehicles so oversize. So that’s a quarter of an hour gone and not got above ground.
Diana looks smug though. She likes the company of big, shiny white cars, or big shiny black ones. And she in no way lowers the tone, being of course herself quite shiny.
