waiting to exhale

waiting to exhale
17th December 2015 Oz Osmaston

I’ve been waiting to exhale all afternoon…this piece is so super critical that I can’t breathe. Finally it becomes apparent why I did all that yoga. Luckily I can hold my breath for quite some time, notice it’s happening and tell myself to breathe before I keel over. I will get used to it and start breathing normally soon, but it was a great relief to go and have tea with my bonkers French artist neighbours. One of them making 5 Christmas fruit baskets out of chopped up and melted together plastic vegetable crates, the other on her ? 84th jesmonite pot, the frass of which has successfully completely blocked the communal butler sink. Nathan had to undo the U-bend and was up to his elbows (my marigolds) in muck all yesterday afternoon. He said it was curiously pleasurable.

So yes, Baddeley Brothers logo, upside down and back to front.

the bit bottom middle is just about finally carved, two sections left and above it have their ‘firewall’ and  an angle into the area to be removed, section to the right and all cut outside edge just has firewall, apart from right side which has the angle too.

couple of hours work…

the stone is Spanish limestone, hard, quite a lot of shell, looks a bit like a quality bathroom tile…
